This exhibition of day and night paintings celebrates our ancient river place with a focus on the Maali / Black Swan. Elegant, beautiful and strong the Maali / Black Swan is the icon of our river place and the state emblem for Western Australia. The river and the ancient Whadjuk lands that Perth is built on have been the inspiration for my work over the last 14 years. There were many spectacular vistas over the river, lakes and wetlands, grasslands and forests all with plentiful and diverse wildlife.
